Chicken Cheese Steak Sandwiches Recipe

No need for complicated recipes here. These sandwiches are easy to make and full of juicy chicken, melted cheese, and sautéed veggies. They're perfect for any meal, whether it's for your family or when you have friends over.

Ingredients
  

  • For the Chicken Filling
  • 500 g boneless skinless chicken breasts (thinly sliced)
  • 1 small onion 100g, thinly sliced
  • 1 small bell pepper 100g, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic 5g, minced
  • 10 g olive oil
  • 2 g salt
  • 1 g black pepper
  • 1 g paprika
  • 1 g dried oregano
  • For the Sandwiches
  • 4 sandwich rolls hoagie or sub rolls, about 300g total
  • 150 g shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 20 g butter for toasting rolls

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Thinly slice the chicken, onion, and bell pepper. Mince the garlic.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken, salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: Push the chicken to one side of the pan. Add the onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Melt the Cheese: Reduce the heat to low. Sprinkle the cheese over the chicken mixture and let it melt. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Toast the Rolls: Spread butter on the sandwich rolls and toast them in a separate skillet or in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Assemble the Sandwiches: Spoon the cheesy chicken mixture into the toasted rolls. Serve warm and enjoy!
