- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour the cake pan.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture.
- Pour batter into the pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Make caramel: Heat sugar and water until golden. Add cream carefully.
- Cool cake. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
