Summer is the perfect time to make delicious raspberry crumble bars. These homemade treats mix sweet, tangy fruit with a crumbly base. They melt in your mouth.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • 9x9 inch baking pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Pastry cutter or fork
  • Cooling rack

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking pan with parchment paper
  2. Mix flour, brown sugar, and cold butter until crumbly
  3. Press half the crumb mixture into the pan as the base
  4. Combine raspberries, granulated sugar, and cornstarch
  5. Spread raspberry mixture over the base
  6. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown
  8. Cool completely before cutting into berry crumble squares
