strawberry crunch poke cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 8 oz whipped topping
  • 10 Golden Oreo cookies crushed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry gelatin powder

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking pan
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the baking pan.
  2. Mix cake batter as package says. Pour into pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Let cake cool for 15 minutes. Poke holes all over with a wooden spoon handle.
  4. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water and pour over cake.
  5. Refrigerate for 3 hours or until gelatin is set.
  6. Spread whipped topping over the cake.
  7. Mix crushed cookies, melted butter, and strawberry gelatin powder. Sprinkle over cake.
  8. Chill for 1 hour before serving your delightful strawberry crunch poke cake.
