steak with tender shrimp

This classic dish pairs seared steak with tender shrimp. It's all topped with a rich lobster sauce. It's perfect for any special occasion or just a fancy night in.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 8- oz ribeye steaks
  • 1/2 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup seafood sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and fresh cracked pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Equipment

  • Heavy-bottomed cast iron skillet
  • Sharp chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Meat thermometer
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Remove steaks from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking
  2. Season steaks generously with salt and pepper
  3. Preheat skillet to high heat
  4. Sear steaks 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare
  5. Rest steaks for 5-7 minutes
  6. Prepare seafood sauce in same skillet
  7. Sauté shrimp until pink and tender
  8. Plate steaks and top with shrimp and seafood sauce
