- Grease cake pan with butter
- Mix dry cake ingredients in a bowl
- Combine wet ingredients separately
- Fold dry and wet mixtures together
- Fold in diced apples
- Pour batter into prepared pan
- Bake for 45-50 minutes
- Cool completely before adding maple caramel sauce
