Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 28 oz canned San Marzano tomatoes
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt to taste

  • Large pot for boiling pasta
  • Saucepan for tomato sauce
  • Wooden spoon

  • Sharp knife

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add tomatoes to the saucepan. Crush them with a wooden spoon and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Cook spaghetti in boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Drain pasta and add it to the tomato sauce. Toss to combine.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
