- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in the tomatoes, crushing them with your hands as you add them.
- Simmer the sauce for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Toss the spaghetti with the sauce, adding pasta water if needed.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
