Southern pecan pie

- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter
- ¼ cup ice water
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
Start by making the buttery crust. Mix flour and cold butter.
Add ice water slowly until the dough is smooth.
Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough and put it in the pie dish.
Whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, and vanilla.
Spread pecans evenly in the pie.
Pour the filling over the pecans.
Bake at 375°F for 40-50 minutes.
Let it cool completely before serving.
