  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix flour, sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  • Pour batter into the skillet.
  • Combine brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa; sprinkle over batter.
  • Pour hot water over the top; do not stir.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until the center is set.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
