- In a small bowl, mix sour cream, lemon juice, capers, and chives for the dressing.

- In a large bowl, combine salad greens, cucumber, and red onion.
- Gently toss the salad with half of the caper chive dressing.
- Arrange the dressed greens on plates.
- Top with smoked salmon slices.
- Drizzle remaining dressing over the salmon.
- Garnish with extra chives and serve immediately.
