Penne alfredo with bacon

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • 8 oz bacon chopped
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes julienned
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes
  • Crisp bacon in skillet until golden brown
  • Add minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds
  • Pour heavy cream, simmer for 3-4 minutes
  • Stir in parmesan cheese until sauce thickens
  • Mix pasta with sauce and sun-dried tomatoes
  • Garnish with fresh parsley
