one-pot turkey stroganoff

No need for complicated cooking or lots of dishes. This recipe makes a delicious meal in one pot. It's great for using up leftover turkey or for a quick, healthy meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet or Dutch oven
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Sharp chef's knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Brown ground turkey in a large skillet over medium-high heat
  2. Add onions and mushrooms, cooking until softened
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat
  5. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes
  6. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream
  7. Season with salt and pepper
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over egg noodles
