Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 jar 7 oz marshmallow creme
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Heavy-bottomed saucepan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Candy thermometer
  • 8-inch square baking pan
  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Line the baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine sugar, butter, and milk in the saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring until mixture boils.
  3. Cook to 234°F (soft-ball stage), stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted.
  5. Add marshmallow creme and vanilla. Mix well.
  6. Pour into prepared pan. Cool at room temperature.
  7. Cut into squares when set.
