Loaded Bacon Cheese Fries Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bag 16 oz frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese optional for extra gooeyness
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika optional
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp ranch dressing optional
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 small jalapeño sliced (optional for spice

Equipment

  • Baking sheet (or air fryer)
  • Parchment paper (for easy cleanup)
  • Cutting board & knife
  • Frying pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs or spatula

Method
 

  1. Cook the Fries:
  2. Oven Method: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread fries on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions until crispy.
  3. Air Fryer Method: Cook fries at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway.
  4. Prepare the Toppings:
  5. Cook bacon in a frying pan until crispy. Drain on a paper towel, then crumble.
  6. Slice green onions and jalapeños (if using).
  7. Assemble the Fries:
  8. Once fries are crispy, transfer them to an oven-safe dish.
  9. Sprinkle garlic powder and paprika over the fries for extra flavor.
  10. Top with shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and crumbled bacon.
  11. Melt the Cheese:
  12. Place the fries back in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
  13. Alternatively, use a broiler for 2-3 minutes for a golden, bubbly top.
  14. Finish & Serve:
  15. Drizzle with sour cream or ranch dressing.
  16. Garnish with green onions, parsley, and jalapeños.
