Lo Mein recipe

Want a real Chinese meal fast? This quick Lo Mein recipe makes dinner time fun. You can make homemade Chinese noodles in just 20 minutes, bringing restaurant taste home.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz egg noodles or wheat noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables carrots, bell peppers
  • 1/2 lb protein chicken, shrimp, or tofu
  • Sauce ingredients:
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Equipment

  • Large wok or deep skillet
  • Sharp chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Wooden cooking spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Boil noodles according to package instructions
  2. Heat oil in wok, stir-fry protein until cooked
  3. Add vegetables and garlic, cook 2-3 minutes
  4. Mix in cooked noodles and sauce
  5. Stir-fry for additional 2 minutes
