Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Salad tongs
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients
  

  • 2 heads of romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 raw egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Croutons for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Wash and chop romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces
  • Prepare the dressing by whisking together lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, egg yolks, and minced garlic
  • Slowly drizzle olive oil while continuously whisking to create a smooth emulsion
  • Season the dressing with salt and pepper
  • Gently toss lettuce with prepared dressing
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top
  • Garnish with croutons and serve immediately
