Italian sausage penne casserole

Great for busy nights, this casserole has Italian sausage, penne pasta, and strong seasonings. It's a favorite in many American homes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • Fresh basil leaves

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Sharp chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Cook pasta al dente according to package instructions
  3. Drain pasta and mix with marinara sauce
  4. Transfer to baking dish
  5. Sprinkle cheese evenly across top
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese melts
