Italian sausage penne casserole

Great for busy nights, this casserole has Italian sausage, penne pasta, and strong seasonings. It's a favorite in many American homes.

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Sharp chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F
  • Cook pasta al dente according to package instructions
  • Drain pasta and mix with marinara sauce
  • Transfer to baking dish
  • Sprinkle cheese evenly across top
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese melts
