Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup raw peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix sugar, corn syrup, salt, and water in a saucepan. Heat to 250°F (121°C).
  3. Add peanuts and stir continuously until mixture reaches 300°F (149°C).
  4. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in butter and baking soda.
  5. Pour mixture onto prepared baking sheet. Spread thin.
  6. Cool completely, then break into pieces.
