Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound pasta penne or rigatoni work well
  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Add pasta to the pot and pour in 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once pasta is tender and sauce has thickened, remove from heat.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
