  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 600g)
  • 100 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 80 g crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 g garlic powder
  • 2 g onion powder
  • 1 g paprika
  • 1 g salt
  • 1 g black pepper
  • For the Coating
  • 100 g plain yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 egg 50g, beaten
  • For Baking
  • 20 g unsalted butter melted

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Coating: In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt (or sour cream) and beaten egg.
  3. Make the Cheddar Crust: In another bowl, combine the shredded cheddar, crushed cornflakes (or breadcrumbs), Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Coat the Chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the yogurt mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then, press it into the cheddar mixture, covering it completely.
  5. Arrange for Baking: Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle melted butter over the top for extra crispiness.
  6. Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  7. Serve: Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite sides!
