creamy pesto gnocchi recipe

Imagine making a restaurant-quality meal in just 20 minutes. Soft potato gnocchi smothered in a fresh basil pesto sauce is a taste of Italy at home. No need for fancy cooking skills!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package store-bought gnocchi
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large cooking pot
  • Sharp chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Colander
  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Boil gnocchi in salted water for 2-3 minutes
  2. Drain gnocchi and set aside
  3. Blend basil, olive oil, pine nuts, and garlic for pesto
  4. Heat skillet, add cream and pesto
  5. Stir in cooked gnocchi
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
