Ingredients

  • 400 g chicken breast boneless and skinless, cut into cubes
  • 500 g gnocchi
  • 30 g olive oil
  • 100 g onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic about 10 g, minced
  • 250 ml chicken broth
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 5 g dried thyme
  • 3 g dried oregano
  • 3 g salt
  • 2 g black pepper
  • 50 g fresh spinach optional
  • 20 g fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Equipment

  • Large skillet or sauté pan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Cheese grater (if using fresh Parmesan)

Method

  1. Sauté the Chicken – Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics – In the same pan, add a little butter and sauté the diced onion until soft. Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Create the Sauce – Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Add the heavy cream and stir well.
  4. Cook the Gnocchi – Add the uncooked gnocchi directly into the sauce. Let it simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gnocchi is tender.
