Chicken burgers

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Grill or heavy-bottom skillet
  • Meat thermometer
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp kitchen knife
  • Grater for cheese
  • Burger press (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup homemade BBQ sauce
  • 1 medium potato grated
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns

Instructions
 

  • Mix ground chicken with grated potato and cheese
  • Form into 4 equal burger patties
  • Season patties generously with salt and pepper
  • Grill chicken burgers 4-5 minutes per side
  • Check internal temperature reaches 165°F
  • Brush with BBQ sauce during last minute of cooking
  • Let rest for 3 minutes before serving
