 California Spaghetti Salad

Imagine a sunny day, a picnic table, and a colorful pasta salad. That's what California Spaghetti Salad is all about. It combines al dente noodles, crisp veggies, and a zesty dressing for a perfect summer meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 cucumber diced
  • 2 bell peppers chopped
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 red onion finely chopped
  • 1 can sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Large pot for boiling pasta
  • Colander
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, cucumber, bell peppers, tomatoes, onion, and olives.
  3. Whisk Italian dressing, Parmesan, sesame seeds, and paprika in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour dressing over pasta mixture and toss gently to coat.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
