Cajun shrimp and steak Alfredo pasta

Want a pasta dish that mixes Cajun and Italian flavors? Try Cajun shrimp and steak Alfredo pasta. It's a hit in restaurants and now you can make it at home.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 12 ounces ribeye steak
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Large pot for boiling pasta
  • Skillet or grill pan for cooking steak
  • Sauté pan for shrimp and sauce
  • Cutting board and sharp knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak with salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning. Cook to desired doneness in a skillet. Let rest, then slice.
  3. In a sauté pan, melt butter and cook shrimp with remaining Cajun seasoning until pink.
  4. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  6. Toss cooked pasta with the Alfredo sauce.
  7. Serve pasta topped with sliced steak and Cajun shrimp. Garnish with fresh parsley.
