Cajun chicken sloppy joes 

Ground chicken is a lighter choice than beef, but it's packed with Cajun spices. Each bite is a mix of heat and comfort. It's a hit with both kids and adults, thanks to its simple ingredients and big flavor.

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Cajun seasoning blend
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat
  • Sauté onions and bell peppers until soft (3-4 minutes)
  • Add ground chicken and garlic, breaking meat into small pieces
  • Sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the meat
  • Cook until chicken is completely browned
  • Stir in tomato sauce
  • Simmer for 5-7 minutes
  • Serve hot on toasted hamburger buns
