Cajun butter bourbon steak recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ribeye steaks 1-inch thick
  • 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Equipment

  • Cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed grill pan
  • Meat thermometer
  • Sharp kitchen knife
  • Cutting board

  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Remove steaks from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking
  2. Pat steaks dry with paper towels
  3. Season generously with Cajun spice blend
  4. Preheat cast-iron skillet to high heat
  5. Cook steaks 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare
  6. Rest steaks 5-7 minutes before serving
