cabbage crunch salad

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head green cabbage finely shredded
  • 2 carrots julienned
  • 1 red bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Whisk
  • Small jar with lid (for dressing)

Method
 

  1. Shred cabbage and place in a large bowl.
  2. Add julienned carrots and sliced red bell pepper to the bowl.
  3. In a jar, combine apple cider vinegar, honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Shake well.
  4. Pour the cider vinaigrette over the cabbage mixture.
  5. Toss the salad until all ingredients are well coated.
  6. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top before serving.
