  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 16 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 eggs
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Large pasta pot
  • Colander
  • Sharp chef's knife

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Boil pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes
  3. Drain pasta and rinse with cold water
  4. Mix ricotta, eggs, and seasonings in a bowl
  5. Layer pasta, cheese mixture, and sauce in baking dish
  6. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving
