Baked ziti

Picture a casserole full of cooked pasta, meat sauce, and melted cheese. Our recipe turns simple ingredients into a fantastic meal in under an hour. It's great for weeknights or weekend meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 eggs
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Large pasta pot
  • Colander
  • Mixing bowls
  • Wooden spoon
  • Aluminum foil

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Cook pasta until al dente
  3. Mix ricotta, eggs, and seasonings
  4. Layer pasta, sauce, and cheese mixtures
  5. Bake covered for 25 minutes
  6. Uncover and bake additional 10 minutes
  7. Let rest 10 minutes before serving
