Aunt Kathy's Oven Burgers

Aunt Kathy’s Oven Burgers are nostalgic, juicy, cheesy burgers baked to perfection — perfect for feeding a crowd with less mess!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • Optional: pickles mustard, ketchup

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Aluminum foil or parchment paper
  • Skillet (optional, for searing)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet.
  2. Mix ground beef with onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape into 4 patties. Sear briefly in skillet (optional).
  4. Place patties on buns, add cheese, wrap each in foil.
  5. Bake 15–20 minutes until cooked through and melty.
  6. Serve with your favorite condiments.

Notes

Perfect for meal prep — bake and refrigerate wrapped.
Can double the batch for parties.
