20-minute fried rice

Making restaurant-quality fried rice at home is simpler than you think. This fried rice recipe card will help you through every step. You'll get delicious results with just a little effort.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups day-old cooked rice
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup diced vegetables
  • 1/4 cup protein chicken, shrimp, or tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Equipment

  • Large non-stick wok or heavy-bottom skillet
  • Sharp chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Wooden spatula or heat-resistant cooking spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in wok over medium-high heat
  2. Scramble eggs and set aside
  3. Stir-fry protein until cooked
  4. Add vegetables and cook briefly
  5. Incorporate rice and seasonings
